No band news today as we say adieu to Bomb Culture’s greatest quadruped chum, the one and only ‘Mam Dog’.
For nigh on 15 years Mam was the faithful four-legged pal of our resident VJ, Mr Sul from ‘The Darkside Gallery’.
Through their many adventures together, Mam has chased countless sticks, ignored hundreds of pleas to ‘bring the ball back’ and on one occasion almost swam to Western Super Mare in the hunt for a skimmed stone.
Known over the years by many guises, most notably ‘Fuck Splat’, ‘Dirk Dogart the Doggie Detective’ and then the more civilised ‘Fox Splat’, Mam finally gained her moniker when it became apparent that she was the only one in the house who did the washing up.
When Mam passed she was roughly around 20 years old, so a damn good innings by anyone’s stretch. The fact that she reached this grand old age was due to the great love and care bestowed upon her by both Mr Sul and Ms. Rachel Wyatt.
She leaves a daughter, Amber ‘The Amboz’ and small dog shaped space in all of our hearts.
So, for you dear Mam Dog……Bomb Culture Salutes You!!
