So what happened I hear you squall? Well apart from the miniscule crowd at the Gwyl Macs Festy (it looked like about 2,000 people for a 10,000 capacity – although that may be way out) The big Old BC had a rare old time and thundered through a set which included two brand spanking nu toons. Trimmed to a lean 2 piece your favourite pair of clankers, boomed and bounced their beats to a small but dancey crowd. With the addition of our visual maestro’s at The Dark Side Gallery, Bomb Culture thundered along the road of new direction’s with aplomb.
With the lack of peeps we did however find ourselves in the honoured position of watching a full live set from Plan B with a tiny crowd. Probably wasn’t that great for Plan B, but for us it was awesome! The man is a legend. Special mention must also go to the incredible Beatbox Fozzy and Ruffstylz who once again blew our little socks off and also to The Magic Numbers, who I was never much of a fan of, until I saw their live set. Geez that lady can play bass geeetar….
So what does the future hold for the scamps at the big old BC? Well, whilst the visual additions of the aforementioned Darkside Gallery are pushing us further ahead in the eyeball department, the loss of Geetar has seen the BC swing towards a much more upbeat dance filled set….But where to from here? Well plans are in hand and afoot for more extra musical surprises and a few guest artist’s to drop on by, but for now, count your lucky chickens that the BC are here to stay and ain’t goin’ nowhere. So as we enter a new dawn, a new lineup and a brand new way of making sandwhiches, hold on to your hats and all other various articles of clothing, for Bomb Culture will be back rrrrrreal soon….
Toon in next time when we’ll be asking ‘Vestibules? Corridors or porches? You decide.’
