Gentle Ben and Violent Lassie

Jeeezzz, it’s kinda hard to keep up the old blog when one of the band is out of action. I say this not, to be pitied (well maybe, a little) but to excuse the sheer lack of news on the whole BC front. Until the great hairy paw of the Berty is repaired I have very little to write about ….however, until Berty’s leg gets itself together with some hot bone-on-bone action we can at least look around, sniff the roses and see what’s ‘appening in the wider world….

42 Day Detention – Do I really need to elucidate further on the stomach churning erosion of civil liberties other than to say, when you find yourself agreeing with David Davis then perhaps it’s time to curl up in a small ball and weep uncontrollably. Or beat the shit out of David Davis. Whatever floats your boat…

Mode in Mind – Our good chums, the thumpingly good dance Gods, Staedler & Waldorf have just produced their first ‘proper video for their ass-kicking toon Mode-in Mind. You can check it out right here. If you aren’t aware of the big old S&W, go check ‘em out on Myspace, and if you do, tell ‘em we sent ya.

The Death of Stan Winston –Now, you may be thinking ‘Who hell he?’ Well let me just throw at you the fact that he was the Special effects guy who created the effects, costumes and general coolness of Aliens, Predator, Terminator, An American Werewolf in London among many many others. You may think it a wee bit geeky, but just think of the sheer volume of cool fun this fella has brought to life and I’m sure you’ll agree he thoroughly deserves a salute…So Stan Winston, Lord of the rubber-faced-goo-driping-xenomorph…Bomb Culture Salutes You!!!!!
So there ya go, some random thoughts instead of actual news, a bit like GMTV, but with more swearing. Muthafucking shitbag cockring twats. See, I told you.

Tune in next time when we’ll be asking ‘ Who is reading this shit?’

Rick Baker did the effects on American Werewolf. But Stan was still a genius.

Your quite right, I was so overwhelmed with grief I got all confused n' stuff. He did do Jurassic Parks big rubber dino's, the teddy bear in AI (possibly the best thing in it) and Johnny Depp's Edward Scissor Hands costume.
Gawd bless him.
