In BC we trust...

A lovely little bag of gigs are beginning to shape up for BC’s next assault on the earholes of Britain and the first of those are revealed to you…..wait for it….now!

April 5th –Super Secret location / Gig
April 19th – Cwmaman Institue
May 17th – Conti’s Cardiff

Obviously we can only reveal a few dates a time as we wouldn’t you going off and creaming your jeans with the sheer excitement, nay pleasure at being able to see BC so many times, so watch this space…well not this exact space….oh you know what I mean.

Saturday night saw a rare solo outing for the King of the Wobbly beat Mr Berty Trousers. Berty would like to pass on a big ‘Yeah, Ta’ to all the young dudes who turned up and shook their very sizeable thangs along to the firm and fruity beats of the Bertmeister. The set was preceded by a banging little movement from occasional Sicknote-er Tommy Tank and followed by the throbbing Phantom Beats. All in all a rather lovely time was had by all.

As before construction is still going ahead on the Brand Spanking New BC Website so I can’t be arsed with a rant today…oh alright just a little one. …. Speaking on Radio 4 the other day Billy Bragg made a good point that there are plenty of people alive today who hold The Queen in great respect, from a point of view that when they fought in World War 2 for King and Country they also fought, by extension, for our present Queen. This then leads to a certain amount of due respect…Fair enough methinks …but as Mr Bragg pointed out that will probably die along with her Royal Swan-eating-ness and the same due reverence does not necessarily continue on to Charles or (God Forbid) his sons. Which brings me to the suggestion that we should all salute the flag – Starting from Primary School – in the hope that this will instil some kind of ‘British-ness’ into this Binge drinking, Sun Reading, Lotto playing, foul mouthed yob infested culture of ours. Also it will apparently ‘weed out terrorists’ as they would refuse to salute the flag….Yeah that’ll fool ‘em. I bet mass-murderers would never lie. As for making us feel more British, I think it could actually be a good idea, as what is more British than telling someone in authority to go fuck themselves, which is what will invariably happen if you ask anyone under the age of 60 to pledge an allegiance to The Royal Family.

If you truly want to make a cohesive Britain try cutting out lies, corruption, scare-mongering, and stop turning every city into a surveillance society and thereby making every ‘citizen’ feel like a criminal. How about running that up a flag pole and seewho salutes?
