Sorry, but just gotta squeeze this spot....
‘If you haven’t done anything wrong then you have nothing to worry about’…Ahhh, the fragrant argument of the idiot. Why bring this up, well today’s little bit of shtick comes from the vitriolic bile I felt this morning when BBC News featured a story about Primary School kids who are fingerprinted to get school meals. Yep, you read that right…fingerprinted, or as the news report said in (more or less) Orwellian terms, their ‘data was bio-metrically collected’. The ‘data’ is collected and their personal record comes up telling the dinner lady exactly what dietry requirement is needed for the kid. Now you may be thinking ‘what’s the harm in that?’ Well, how can indoctrinating children into giving over ‘bio-metric’ details (be that fingerprints, retina scans, blood samples or whatever), produce anything other than a society that is ready to accept any draconian law in the name of security. The presumption of innocence is not only an overriding principle in British Law but also in the nature of humanity, if we walk happily into a society that dismisses that we lose a very important of ourselves.

Of course another great argument is that ‘Your just being paranoid…Of course I am, that’s what you wanted you fucker! That’s why we are constantly told of atrocities that could have happened if it wasn’t for the extra protection from our gallant secret services; or never given new ideas by any politicians just patchwork solutions to problems that were created by them in the first place.

Yeah I’m paranoid, yeah I’m scared (of the future at least), so that probably makes me a model citizen! Maybe I should get an award or something. But in lieu of being Knighted for being the ‘Man most likely to soil his pants’ I’ll settle instead for the warm comforting glow of a Bomb Culture Gig. And what luck! There happens to be a whole raft coming up! Yep the Summer Offensive, kicks off on Easter Sunday with the Big ‘Ol BC playing the Eggstatic! All-dayer At the Con’s Club , Aberdare (doors from 3pm). Yep, once again I have managed to prostitute my beliefs to shill a gig, it’s as if I was making this shit up for my own controlling needs... Well if ya can’t beat ‘em, eh?
