As effigies of Jade Goody are burned on the streets of India and every faceless politician begins lighting torches and marching on Channel 4 HQ, I'd just like to ask...Why are you suprised that someone who is known for being thick as shit would be so ignorant? The Sun, The News of the World, The Mirror etc..have all been 'outraged' by her bigotry...Really? Do you not read what you write for, fucks sake? When Freddie Mercury died The Mail asked why we should celebrate his life because his band made a mockerey of Royalty (because of the band name) and because...and this is the big shitter...he died of Aids!!! There is no point in going into the long and hilarious history of Newspaper propaganda and bigotry that the British press has managed to spew out over the years, any one of these self-righteous self appointed moral guardians is guilty of some kind of hateful attack on one minority or other, but the utter hypocrisy of the whole thing is startling. Yes, Jade is really stooooopid, but if she holds up her hands and admits she was wrong (and an utter twat) then you got what you wanted - a highley lucrative spot of confession and repentance, so just let it go for fucks sake....
Anyhooo, just thought I'd get that off my chest before mentioning Saturdays gig in Ponty. A fit and funky crowd boogied and cheered for your loveable BC scamps and a great big 'Cheers' to all the chaps who turned up (especially Mel and Dunc for staying sober enough to drive us up there - very obliging of you chaps!).
Well, BC will be having a wee gig break until March when we'll be pounding back with The Summer Offensive....ooooooooh yeah!
